Everyone in the buisness world knows, the best way to get ahead in a company is golf. You meet up with your boss, or someone from another dept. be it to talk advancment or networking or what have you. You'd go shoot 18 holes and leave with either somne knowledge regarding the company or the innerworkings of certain things or whatever. Golf is good for buisness.
Well, a supervisor from another dept. just swung by my office on the way home and said he was having trouble finding people for a custom game he created and wants to try out, and he thought it would be cool if I joined up with them. He also extended a clan invite.
Are the early days spent on the course soon to be replaced by late night frag-fests? Instead of talking about the 9th hole at the local country club and the shot that was made to win the round, will people soon be talking about the secret niches in headlong or the best way to open the gates in Zanzibar? Only time will tell, but you can be sure if I see my manager running with the flag, I'm going to do my best to protect his ass ans insure a victory for our team.
